Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to the JobFrame Image Converter Android application, its product pages on jobframe.app, and support communications about the app.

2. Local-first image processing

JobFrame Image Converter is designed to perform image selection, decoding, editing, resizing, conversion, and encoding on the Android device. JobFrame does not require an account for the app's conversion workflow and does not upload selected images to a JobFrame-operated server for conversion.

Image edits such as crop or framing, rotation, flipping, brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness, and resizing are applied locally on the device before output is encoded.

3. Images selected by the user and the Image Library

The app accesses only images the user chooses through Android's system file picker. Supported input can include JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, JPEG XL (JXL), HEIC/HEIF on compatible Android devices, BMP, ICO, and single-page TIFF/TIF files.

When a selected image is used for conversion, the app can retain one app-managed local copy of that source in the Image Library so it can be reused later. The Image Library is stored on the Android device in the app's private storage. It is not uploaded to a JobFrame-operated server. The app uses content and filename checks to reduce duplicate retained entries.

4. Converted files, PDF output, and metadata

Converted JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, and JPEG XL files are newly encoded output files. JobFrame Image Converter does not intentionally copy camera, GPS, or other source metadata into the new converted image.

The app can also combine one or more selected images into a PDF. PDF creation happens locally on the device. Users can reorder selected images before creating a multipage PDF.

Users choose when and where converted output is saved. Saving a file through Android's folder picker gives the app access only to the destination the user selects or authorizes. The app can remember an authorized save folder on the device for later saves, and a user can choose a custom filename for a single output before saving.

5. App-managed storage and temporary output

Image Library source copies and thumbnails are stored in app-managed private storage until the user deletes them, clears app storage, or uninstalls the app.

Generated conversion output may be created in app-managed temporary storage so it can be previewed, saved, or shared. For formats such as AVIF or JPEG XL, the app may also create temporary local preview or working files so the image can be displayed inside the app. Temporary output and previews are not cloud backups. The app performs best-effort cleanup, Android may clear cached files, and uninstalling or clearing app storage may remove app-managed files.

6. Sharing and third-party apps

Sharing is user-directed. When the user chooses Share, Save, a pinned quick-share shortcut, a file provider, cloud-storage provider, messaging app, email app, Bluetooth, Quick Share, or another destination, that third party may receive the file under its own terms and privacy practices. JobFrame does not control a file after the user sends or saves it to another service or application.

7. Accounts, advertising, and analytics

JobFrame Image Converter does not require a JobFrame account for its core conversion workflow. The app does not contain advertising and does not use a JobFrame-operated analytics service to track image contents or conversion activity.

8. Google Play purchase information

JobFrame Image Converter is distributed as a paid Google Play application. Google Play handles the purchase transaction under Google's terms and privacy practices. JobFrame Image Converter does not receive or store the user's payment-card number.

9. Website information

The JobFrame website is a static informational site and does not use JobFrame advertising cookies or a JobFrame analytics system. Hosting, network, and security providers may process routine technical request information such as IP address, browser details, requested page, date, time, and security signals to operate and protect the website.

10. Support communications

If a user contacts JobFrame support, JobFrame receives the information voluntarily included in that message, such as an email address, message text, screenshots, or attachments. Support information may be retained as needed to respond, diagnose a reported problem, maintain a record of the interaction, and improve the product.

Users should avoid sending private or sensitive source images unless a support request specifically requires an example, and should redact information when possible.

11. Deletion and user control

Users can delete individual retained images from the Image Library or use the app's explicit Delete entire library action. Deleting an Image Library item removes the app-managed retained copy, thumbnail, and related local library metadata. It does not delete the user's original image from its original location or copies previously saved or shared elsewhere.

Files saved to Downloads, another folder, cloud storage, email, another device, or another app must be deleted from those destinations separately. Clearing JobFrame Image Converter app storage or uninstalling the app may remove the app-managed Image Library and temporary files.

12. Security

JobFrame uses reasonable application and release practices, but no device, storage method, or software system can be guaranteed completely secure. Users should protect their Android device and use appropriate care when saving or sharing sensitive images.

13. Children

JobFrame Image Converter is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. JobFrame does not knowingly operate an account service through this app for collecting personal information from children.

14. Changes to this policy

This page will be updated before a material change to the app's data handling, such as introducing a JobFrame-operated cloud conversion, analytics, account, or remote-storage service. The effective date above will be changed when this policy is revised.
